Some of the hidden secrets of Harbor Island that we'll share...

  • Elise Olmstead and her husband Roy, the infamous bootlegging power couple, and their lineage to the Fisher broadcasting company and the Fisher Flour Mill

  • Harbor Island was the location of the worst incident of sabotage from WWI, culminating with the detonation of a barge full of munitions bound for Russia to fight the Germans in WWI.

  • Did you know that Camp George Jordan was located near Harbor Island and used for embarkation for Black enlisted WWII soldiers before Fort Lawton was desegregated?

  • What we know as Harbor Island today was tide flats in the 1800s and was an inland sea thousands of years ago - travel back in time to witness these changes, and the people who made it happen!

A huge thank you to our sponsors -- Harbor Island Studios, The King County Film Advisory Board, The Port of Seattle & Create48 -- who are making this event possible!
