You are cordially invited to the International Final Round of the Economics Olympiad

Join us in the cradle of Western civilization, Ancient Olympia, Greece. Experience the enchanting blend of ancient grandeur and academic excellence as we host the brightest young economists from around the world.

Event Details:

Transportation:

  • Ancient Olympia, the fabled site of the original Olympic Games, is located approximately 320 km from Athens Airport, with the drive typically taking around 3.5 to 4 hours .
  • Complimentary shuttle service is included from Athens International Airport to the venue on August 21 and from Ancient Olympia to Athens Airport on August 24.
  • Guests who arrive or depart on different dates must make their own arrangements. Our events team can facilitate their transportation by recommending transportation services. For such queries, please email events@economicsolympiad.org.

The ticket includes:

  • The accommodation for single or double rooms (all single beds).
  • The registration includes, transportation from the airport of August 21 and back on August 24, all meals of the day and access to all events, sessions and the Award Ceremony

Day 1 | August 21st: Arrival and Welcome

  • National Delegations arrive and check-in.
  • Registration and welcoming dinner with program overview.

Day 2 | August 22nd: Written Examination & Academic Sessions

  • Written Test
  • Photo Session
  • Academic sessions, "Meet a Mentor" workshop, and keynote/TED style Talk.
  • Dinner 

Day 3 | August 23rd: Examinations and Cultural Exchange

  • 8:30 Morning Guided Tour at the Ancient Olympia Site
  • Written test, marking of papers, and additional workshops.
  • Honorable Mentions
  • Multicultural activities, oral examinations, and testimonials.
  • Awards ceremony and closing dinner.

Day 4 | August 24th: Departures

  • Breakfast followed by departures, with shuttle services provided.
