About this event
Images unravels the fragile terrain of human connection—where intimacy collides with conflict and perception fractures reality. Through visceral partnering and cinematic movement, Tethered Residents exposes the stories we project onto one another and the tender chaos that binds us.
Set inside a shared home, the work carries the residue of our formative years—whether shaped by family, adolescence, or early adulthood. Nostalgia, longing, and desire ripple through the space, tracing how early relationships continue to shape how we see, reach for, and misunderstand one another.
An old television flickers at the center of the room—glitching, hypnotic, and familiar—pulling focus, interrupting connection, and placing bodies in a shared trance.
Images moves between isolation and proximity, comfort and collapse, until the labor of holding it all together finally breaks. What follows is not resolution but insistence: bodies catching bodies, care emerging through exhaustion, a refusal to let anyone hit the ground.
In the end, care becomes a choice, made again and again.
This work is made possible with the support of our generous donors, friends of Tethered Residents Theater, and The MAP Grant Fund.
