About Washington County Kids
Founded in 2009, our vision is one where all children can reach their full potential. WCK fills an important need as the only county-wide coordinator serving after-school and summer programs. The second most populated Oregon county, Washington County includes over 98,000 children ages 5-18. We serve as a liaison to the county’s out of school providers and facilitate networking, educational opportunities, share best practices, and foster collaboration among providers. We are also an ongoing advocate for sustainable funding to provide access to early learning, after-school, and summer programs for county kids. WCK is a 501©(3) non-profit, governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and many volunteers who work together to promote and support sustainable funding for afterschool and summer youth programs.
