About this event

This year’s reception will honor the remarkable legacies of John Coppola, MSW, former Executive Director of the Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York (ASAP) and Amy Dorin, LCSW, former President & CEO of The Coalition for Behavioral Health, whose decades of stewardship and leadership laid the foundation for what is now InUnity Alliance, a unified, statewide association and voice for the NYS behavioral health sector.

We are also proud to honor three extraordinary champions of the behavioral health community. Health Management Associates (HMA) will receive our Leadership in Healthcare Award in recognition of their longstanding partnership and expertise that has strengthened systems of care across New York. State Senator Nathalia Fernandez will be presented with the Leadership in NYS Government Award for her steadfast commitment and advocacy for policies that expand access to substance use services. We will also recognize NYC Councilmember Linda Lee with the Leadership in NYC Government Award for her tireless leadership and support for the behavioral health community and the people they serve. Our honorees exemplify what it means to lead with purpose and have supported the behavioral health sector immeasurably.
