The Bolling Show
About this event
Blockbuster Performances from the Triad's most diverse, professional and experienced talent from every university and corner of our region, come together to create the most entertaining and exciting night of theatrical magic. Performing songs from musicals such as KIMBERLY AKIMBO, FREAKY FRIDAY, THE COLOR PURPLE, EUBIE! and from movies such as A STAR IS BORN, some TV Shows, and SO much more. Scenes and monologues that will break your heart or keep you laughing deep in your belly. Silly and seductive moments take turns throughout. Supported by a truly stellar band that includes Allan Beck on guitar, Paul Foster on bass, Steve McHugh on drums and Brian Blauch on clarinet and sax - and you do not want to miss hearing the amazing and beautiful LaShon Hill sing her guts out!
Most exciting is that Cafe Cabaret will perform at the Continental Club once a month!! And every four months we will offer an entirely new show! Taking bigger risks, tackling more challenging material. Bringing in new theatre artists.
Greensboro has lost so much great theatre such as Triad Stage, the Broach, Open Space Cafe, L'Chaim, and Livestock/CTG at the Carolina Theatre..
Come to Cafe Cabaret - a Theatre Showcase - and remember what really great theatre performances feel like. You will be on your feet cheering over and over and over again.
This is our INAUGURAL Performance! Come Support Us! And keep coming back for more and more and more!!
We need to partner with donors who would like to spend time and attention on growing and sustaining Cafe Cabaret.. We can bring Cabaret Episodes to YOUR event or venue.
Consider donating - theatre isn't cheap to produce. That's why there are so few companies around. Ticket sales never cover the cost of theatre production. Donors, sponsors, grants and municipal support are crucial for theatre to survive. And it's so important that theatre survives. Theatre is the most collaborative and complicated art form. Requires all art forms and technology to come together for a single purpose. Theatre is also the most communal and connective art form. At a moment in history when we are so isolated from one another, NOTHING is more meaningful and magical than live theatre. Supporting Cafe Cabaret is supporting ALL theatre in the Triad..
Cafe Cabaret is a celebration of theatre, theatre companies and Triad theatre artists.
