About this event

We're diving deep into the growing issue of chloride pollution in Lake Country lakes, groundwater, and wells, and how it affects both the environment and our daily lives.

Join Allison Madison and Justin Poinsatte as they dive into the problem of salinization and the main sources of chloride in our region. Justin will share insights from the Chloride Impact Study, focusing on the health of Lake Country lakes. He will also discuss the biological effects of high chloride levels on native plant species, amphibians, and fish. The meeting will conclude with solutions for municipalities, residents, and farmers to reduce chloride pollution, based on the identified sources.
