River and Jungle Marathon (MRS)

Amazon Trail Running Experience

📅 Race Date: October 18, 2026

📍 Location: Pindobal Community – Belterra, Pará – Brazil

🏢 Organizer: Rio e Selva Turismo

1. PURPOSE

Promote adventure sports in a natural environment, valuing the Amazon landscape while encouraging healthy habits, safety, and respect for nature.

2. REGISTRATION

• 📆 Period: From March 1, 2026 until slots are filled

• 👥 Slots: Limited to 300 participants per category

• 📄 Required Documents:

   

  • Valid passport

  • Proof of payment

  • Health declaration or medical certificate (required for long distances)

3. RACE CATEGORIES

• 🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon (21 km)

   

  • Maximum elevation: 58 meters

• 🏃‍♂️ Marathon (42 km)

   

  • Maximum elevation: 110 meters

• 🔞 Minimum age: 18 years

• 🏅 Master Category: 40+ years old

4. GENERAL RULES

• The race is individual

• External assistance is not allowed (except at official aid stations)

• Use of timing chip is mandatory

• Participants must follow the marked trail

• 🚫 Littering is strictly prohibited

• 🌿 Respect for wildlife, vegetation, and local communities is mandatory

• 🚫 No bicycles or motorized assistance allowed

5. MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

• Trail running shoes

• Race bib (visible at all times)

• Minimum 500 ml water supply

• Mobile phone or emergency whistle

📌 For 42 km:

• Reflective vest

• Headlamp

• Basic first aid kit

⚠️ Equipment will be checked before the race.

6. AID STATIONS

• Located every 4–5 km (approx.)

• Water available

• Personal nutrition allowed (gels, isotonic drinks, etc.)

7. SAFETY

• Medical teams and volunteers along the course

• Emergency contact provided in race kit

• Organization may stop the race due to weather or safety risks

8. RESULTS & AWARDS

• Official timing system

🏆 Overall Awards (Men & Women):

• 🥇 1st Place – Anaconda Trophy

• 🥈 2nd Place – Jaguar Trophy

• 🥉 3rd Place – River Dolphin Trophy

• 🏅 4th Place – Muiraquitã Trophy

🏅 Age group awards (top 4)

🎖️ Finisher medal for all participants

⏱️ Time limits:

• 21 km: 7 hours

• 42 km: 11 hours

9. ATHLETE PACKAGE (INCLUDED)

💎 International athletes will receive:

• Airport round-trip transfer ✈️

• 🏨 1-night accommodation in a local guesthouse

• Race kit (bib + timing chip)

• Finisher medal

• Full race support (hydration + safety team)

10. RESPONSIBILITY

• Participants assume all risks related to trail running

• The organization is not responsible for damages caused by negligence

• Athletes must be physically prepared

11. FINAL PROVISIONS

• The organization may update this regulation if necessary

• Registration implies full acceptance of the rules

• 📸 Photos and videos may be used for promotion

💰 REGISTRATION FEES

• 🏃‍♂️ 21 km: $1,500 USD

• 🏃‍♂️ 42 km: $2,000 USD
