Sandstone Ranch Open Space:
One of Douglas County's newest open spaces, it was purchased in 2017 and opened a few years later. There are about 12 miles of trails in it's 2,000 acres, which is a combination of open meadows and sandstone formations. Prior to purchase by Douglas County, the parcel was destined to become a development of high-dollar mansions.
Sandstone ranch is open to all users, except motorized vehicles. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times.
Our hike will be between 4 and 5 miles and we will decide on a trail on the day of the hike.
All the trails are fairly easy, with no steep elevation changes.
⚠️ There is very little shade, so prepare appropriately (sunscreen, water, etc.)

✔️ There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
