Road to Life 2025

Join CrossRoads Women's Center annual Road to Life event on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Finis Horne Arena at Lander University,450 Willson St, Greenwood, SC 29649. This year, our keynote speaker is Dr. Ben Carson. 

Dr. Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, is celebrated for his groundbreaking achievements and commitment to service. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School, he made history in 1987 with the first successful separation of craniopagus conjoined twins as the youngest Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Carson has left a lasting impact through initiatives like the Carson Scholars Fund, awarding over $8 million in scholarships, and the creation of over 270 Ben Carson Reading Rooms to inspire young minds. His dedication has earned him prestigious accolades, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the NAACP Spingarn Medal.

Today, Dr. Carson shares his story as a motivational speaker and continues to champion causes close to his heart, including education, faith, and pro-life advocacy. His life exemplifies integrity, compassion, and bold action, serving as a beacon of hope and excellence.
