Folk Songs from Around the World

To open it's 59th season, the Tyler Civic Chorale presents a family-friendly program of folk songs and country music from home and abroad. These songs are meant to touch the heart, to express pride of place, and to encourage connection (and singing!) with our neighbors.

You'll hear iconic and profoundly American songs by Woody Guthrie, Stephen Foster, and John Denver, as well as tuneful melodies from Korea (Arirang - you may recognize it from an adaptation by K-pop group BTS!), Canada, Germany, South Africa, and Ireland.
