Mariachi Girl at Buena High School

On October 17th, ÁNIMO Theatre Company proudly presents "Mariachi Girl" at Buena High School in Ventura, CA. 

"Mariachi Girl"  is a bilingual musical about a young girl's dream of following in her father's footsteps to become a Mariachi.  Told through the eyes of a young girl, the musical explores cultural stereotypes and assimilation in the United States. It is a heartwarming story that celebrates cultural identity and promotes a positive self-image for young women.

The music in "Mariachi Girl" is performed by Mariachi Águilas de J. Carlos Ozuna  one of the premiere mariachi groups in California with special performances by Mariachi Rosas de Oxnard.
