About this event

See Acrobatic Conundrum's show, THREADS, from the comfort of your own home!

A single strand is fragile; but combined, the threads of a rope become nearly unbreakable.

Conundrum invites you into a tangled world, by turns emotive and exhilarating. Rope papers the walls, rope becomes an animate object in the hands of a clown, rope elevates dance-storytelling into the air. Conundrum’s movement-poets swing and spin up high, telling stories that unravel love and grief. Spectator and performer unite to untie the knots of inextricable dilemmas, from how to be together to how not to be together. Acrobats revel in the messy knot of being connected to each other, pulling their weight, trusting, and putting their lives on the line for each other. They lift each other up and launch each other even higher. In the mortal arts of circus, an ephemeral moment can last forever, an eternal now extends as deep as we can feel. THREADS is a circus opus featuring six performers and a musician, an exploration of connection, love, and endings — a story strung with grace and daring that will leave you inspired and curiously alive.

Seattle’s counter to Cirque du Soleil, Acrobatic Conundrum is a fusion of circus arts and contemporary theater. Wholly human and without fantastical adornment, Conundrum brings real people to the stage to share their incredible talents and embraces the foibles and follies of being human — querying meaning, exploring possibilities, pursuing passion while never taking itself too seriously.
