Georgian Wine Seminar at Tbilisoba Food & Wine Festival 🇬🇪🍷

Discover 8,000 years of Georgian winemaking tradition at a special Georgian Wine Seminar presented during the Tbilisoba Food & Wine Festival in Denver.

With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and Wines of Georgia, Kartveli Wines — a Colorado-based importer and distributor specializing in Georgian wines and spirits — will host an educational and immersive seminar dedicated to Georgia, widely recognized as the birthplace of wine.

🍷 Reserve Georgian Wine Experience

Seating for the seminar will be limited and available by reservation.

Each registered guest will have a reserved seat and receive a curated tasting of multiple Georgian wines, including unique and rare expressions made from indigenous Georgian grape varieties, accompanied by Georgian snacks selected for pairing.

The seminar will be presented by Lasha Abashidze, Founder of Kartveli Wines, and John Trapnell, who will guide guests through the fascinating history and diversity of Georgian wine.

Topics will include:

• Georgia's 8,000-year history of winemaking and its place in the origins of wine culture
• Georgia's major wine regions and terroirs
• Unique indigenous Georgian grape varieties
• The ancient Qvevri winemaking method and its continued importance today
• Georgian wine traditions, food, hospitality, and culture
• Guided discussion and tasting of the wines selected for the seminar

This is a unique opportunity for Colorado wine lovers, sommeliers, beverage directors, restaurant and hospitality professionals, and adventurous wine drinkers to explore one of the world's oldest and most distinctive wine cultures.

The experience won't be limited to the seminar.

Georgian wines will also be available for tasting throughout the Tbilisoba Food & Wine Festival, giving festival guests an opportunity to discover Georgian wines, learn about different varieties and styles, and speak with volunteers about Georgia's extraordinary wine heritage.
