About this event

What is the Legacy Loop?: The Legacy Loop is the realization of General William J. Palmer's vision for a beautiful greenway for the residents and guests of Colorado Springs to enjoy. The project is creating a ~10 mile fully-connected urban trail that is nearly complete!

  • There is ample free parking in the lot behind Mash Mechanix.

  • Please plan on arriving by 1:45pm in order to get your bike and self sorted for a 2:00pm departure!

  • We will start the ride from Mash Mechanix, and riders will travel approximately 10 miles, with multiple short breaks for interpretive spots along the route. The surfaces will range from paved trails to hard-packed dirt trails and a short stretch of rougher dirt and rocks.

  • During the ride, we'll stop periodically to take in newly completed trail connectivity projects, historical points of interest, and artistic #hiddeninplainsight gems.

  • You will also get an overview of the "Southern Gap", the last remaining stretch of trail needed to complete the Legacy Loop(!), and a behind-the-scenes look at several of the projects that have improved trail connectivity and enhanced safety along the route that have been completed in 2025.

  • We will finish up be returning to Mash Mechanix Brewing Co. just in time to celebrate the TOSC Taproom Takeover event that starts at 5:00pm!
