The West Chester Green Team and the West Chester Cooperative invite you to our Dark Skies and Fireflies Celebration! Featuring Keynote speaker Carolyn Comitta on bringing lightning bugs back to West Chester, with art by Vaughn Stadtmiller and an update on her community garden by Rev Dayna Spence.
Join us for the West Chester Green Team's annual meeting, dinner, and awards ceremony this year, joined by the West Chester Cooperative. The Coop, Media's Green Wagons and the Green Team's Porchfest, Living Landscapes and Dark Skies committees will show off their environmental projects. Lenape crafts for children, led by artist Catherine Bosna, and lawn games like corn hole will keep children busy while Steven Hanford, Porchfest musician, accompanies it all on guitar.
Box meals from Mae's are available for picnic-style dining outside on the porch, with your healthy dinner will include an apple from Barnard's Orchard. Cake by the Master's Baker and gelato donated by D'Ascenzo's will top off our evening together. Please bring your own water cup to help us cut down on plastic.
Tickets cost $18 for adults and $10 for children 18 and under.
