About this event

A world premiere rooted in Colorado Springs history. Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble presents Voices of a New World, commemorating Colorado’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th through music inspired by American stories, voices and landscapes. The program features the world premiere of As Starlight Erupts by Kile Smith, commissioned by CVAE with text from Tesla’s Walk by Colorado Springs author and CVAE founding member Jimmy Sena. Also featured is The Dawn’s Early Light for choir, guitar quartet and cello.
