It’s derby day in Sherwood as Westside Metros FC hosts regional rivals Vancouver Victory in a key Northwest Conference fixture. The two sides played to a scoreless draw away last season, with the Metros earning a 2–1 win at home. Expect another competitive, high-intensity matchup as both teams aim to make a statement early in the 2025 season.

Westside’s back line will be anchored by center back Sarah Rice, fresh off her graduation from the University of Arizona, and outside back Tory Snyder, a senior at the University of Vermont. Up top, Katia Pender, a standout forward from Westside’s 07/06 Girls Academy team, steps into the spotlight at center forward before joining the University of Portland this fall.
