About this event
The Feathers Charity Ball, for school years 9 & 10, has always played a part in brining young people together and has generated over £3 million towards making young people's lives ever better.
Since the 1950's the Feathers Charity Ball has been a chance for young people to come to London to meet up with each other for a night of fun and entertainment. Over time the event has become an established rite of passage; generation after generation recalls the excitement of their night at the ball. The sophistication and scale of the event is immediately obvious and remains unparalleled.
Today, nearcly 70 years on, the annual Christmas Ball continues to attract young people from all around the country. However, what is less widely known is that the evening plays an even greater role than that. The Feathers Charity Ball has been the main fundraising event for a wide variety of initiatives for young people across London including homework clubs, core funding for youth clubs and breakdfast clubs to name a few.
Every year our guests and their families generously help make young people's lives safer, happier and more meaningful whilst keeping up the great British tradiaion of the 'coming out' ball.
Many of us today share concerns on how young people can navigate the fast changing world with its many distractions. Young people from all backgrounds can get caught up in the wrong crowd and fall prey to issues such as drug abuse and bullying. Over the next fire years The Feathers Association has ambitious plans to ensure we do more than ever to bring opportunities and strong guidance to even more young people.
With your continued support and invovlement, we are confident we can go on making a tremendous difference for generations to come.
Kind regards,
The Ball Committee
