2024 Fat Ass 5K and Street Party for Charity

The Fat Ass 5K and Street Party for Charity was invented on a napkin at Celtic Mist Pub on St. Patrick's Day in 2008.  Walk or run the route through historic downtown Springfield, IL. We have donated over $1.9 million to charity since 2008.  The route includes beer, corn dog, donut, and many other stops along with live music and entertainment throughout.  The 5K is followed by a street party that includes cold Pepsi products, Coors beer, barbecue, and live music by Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters.  This race is not professionally timed and is open to all fitness and ability levels.
