Friends of Fashion present "Furs, Bathing Suits, and Gowns"

Based out of the Chassell Heritage Center, Friends of Fashion acquires and maintains a collection of vintage garments from the mid 1800's through the present day.  Each fashion show shares a description of the garments and the stories and history of those who wore them.  We welcome you to come with us for an outing to one of the Copper Country's early resorts where the women wore furs, bathing suits (albeit very modest) and gowns.  Live musical accompaniment is included in this informative and fun event  appropriate for all ages.  This event is made possible with funding by the Michigan Humanities and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.  (photo above is from the Friends of Fashion “Roaring 20's” show.
