About this event

The Homestead Cannery presents its 1st annual Haywire Farm Festival July 22 and 23 in beautiful North East Saskatchewan and Tobin Lake destination area! 

This intimate family friendly festival includes live music, workshops, live art installations, country market, kids programs, food, camping and more! 

SATURDAY, JULY 22 COUNTRY MARKET IS FREE ENTRY from 12-5

Saturday, July22

10 AM - Gates open for advance purchase weekend pass holders (Campers!)

11:30 AM - Gates open for Public & Saturday pass holders

12 pm - 5 pm              COUNTRY MARKET (FREE ENTRY):

  •   Handmade + locally produced items - more than 50 vendors (scroll down to see vendors)                                   
  •   Kids program with Logan LeBlanc - nature learning, laughter yoga, games, crafts, facepainting and more!
  •   Live Art Exhibit & Art of Intention Gallery hosted by Rise Up Community Organization featuring Saskatchewan Women in the Arts
  •   Busker Stage - all are welcome, bring your voice and/or instrument! Message for details or just show up!  Play for donations!
  •   Food Trucks & Vendors featuring: The Dam Smokehouse, Baby Got Bannock, Ole's Drive In, Reni's Taco Stand, The Ice Cream Truck, Refresh'd Smoothies

  • Tree of Life Wire Wrap Art workshop - Fringe of the Forest (space is limited: 1st come, 1st serve)
  • How to Start a Homestead right where you are now - presented by Marlon, Triple H Homestead
  • Introduction to Herbal Remedies - presented by Sabine, Triple H Homestead

10 AM:

  • Kundalini Yoga - led by Danika Wright, Morning Star Kundalini (bring your yoga mat)

11 AM:

  • Meditative Drawing workshop - presented by Lori Bradford (space is limited, 1st come, 1st serve)
  • Seed Saving & Garden tips - presented by Taylor, Nine West Farms

12 PM:

  • Kirtan Circle - with guest Malika 'The Chanting Queen'
  • How to use the Weeds in your yard workshop - presented by Sabine, Triple H Homestead (space is limited, 1st come, 1st serve)

  • What's your Beef? A workshop on farm sustainability - presented by North of the Torch Meats

DIRECTIONS TO THE FESTIVAL:

  • Google Maps Search: "Haywire Farms Sask" (15 km SW of Codette, Sk)
  • From Nipawin (approx. 25 min.)  Hwy 35 south to Codette, turn right (west) at Grid 789 for 9 km, turn left (South) at Smits Beach corner/Elk hill Cemetary, Farm is 6 km OR from Codette travel towards Tisdale, turn at Pontrilas grid, drive for 9 km, turn right farm is 2 km (less gravel)
  • From Tisdale: (approx. 35 min.)Hwy 35 north to Pontrilas grid (41 km), turn left (west) for 9 km, turn right (north) farm is 2 km
  • From Gronlid: (approx. 20 min.)Hwy 335 east towards Arborfield (20 km), turn left (north)at Healey Clapson Road farm is 13 km 
  • Look for the markers at major highway turn offs!

  • Cash Only event (please support our food vendors, local makers, and charity organizations) 
  • Alcohol will not be served at the event. Outside food and drink is permitted in camping area. No Glass allowed.
  • Smoking in designated areas only
  • Festival style camping, non electrical, no campfires In camping area. 
  • Pets must be kept on leash at all times. 
  • No Refunds. Rain or Shine!
