About this event

Harrison Circuit Court CASA is proud to host a special Gala celebrating 20 years of dedicated volunteers advocating for the best interests of children in Harrison County. Join us as we honor two decades of service, compassion, and community support that have helped change countless young lives.

Guests will join us in their best formal wear and enjoy an elegant evening of dining and community while learning more about CASA's mission to provide a voice for children in the court system. By the end of the night, attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the impact that CASA volunteers make—and how they can help change a child's story.

Dinner will be catered by Gunther's Chop Shop and Karv will be on site offering a cash bar for guests to enjoy throughout the celebration.

We are honored to welcome a lineup of speakers, whose stories and service reflect the heart of CASA’s mission:

Kalob Kurz
Former Foster Youth
Kalob brings a powerful and personal perspective on the foster care experience. His journey through the system offers a compelling testament to the importance of having a consistent, caring adult in a child’s life.

Susan Isbell
Current CASA Volunteer
Susan shares her experience as a dedicated CASA volunteer, providing insight into the life-changing impact one person can have in the life of a child in foster care. Her story is a testament to the power of advocacy, compassion, and commitment.

Maria Bussabarger
Harrison Circuit Court Referree
Referee Bussabarger shares the judicial perspective on CASA's vital role in the courtroom. Drawing on current years of experience as Harrison Circuit Court Referee and previous Public Defender in CHINS cases, she will reflect on how CASA volunteers bring invaluable insight, advocacy and heart to the decision-making process - and how our continued partnership strengthens outcomes for children and families across our community.
