About this event

Are you ready to travel back to 1776?

As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, the history of the American Revolution is coming to life right here in our own backyard. From defiant letters to the king to the brave men who traded their muskets for plows, the stories of America’s fight for independence are hidden all around us, waiting to be discovered.

Among other things our young historians will uncover: Who Warren County was named for and what did he do to get the county named after him? What did the American Revolution soldiers who moved to Warren County do after the war? How many locations are named after Founding Fathers and other Revolutionary War figures?

In their quest for answers, campers will go on a field trip, meet special guests, and explore the exhibits at the Harmon Museum to see history through the eyes of the people who lived it.
