b.j spoke gallery presents HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. An art inspired fundraiser to benefit The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless from December 1, 2021 - January 2, 2022.  All works of art will be priced at $1000 and under.  b.j. spoke will donate 35% of all proceeds made to LICH.


JOIN US at the KICK OFF RECEPTION on Saturday, December 4th from 6:00pm-9:00pm.  Enjoy a night of live jazz music, art, and refreshments. Meet the b.j. spoke artists.  Take home an original work of art created by our gallery artists. Our artists work in a variety of styles and media, including; abstract, representational, surreal, digital illustration, steel sculpture, photography, giclee prints, and handmade jewelry. Find the perfect piece for your home, office or gift giving. Help support LICH and enjoy an original work of art for years to come.


Guest Speaker 7:00pm - Greta Guarton, Executive Director of The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless will give a brief talk about their mission and services.


Live Jazz by Joe Cupani & Shawn Lovato - Cupani is a jazz guitarist, an artist and aspiring actor. “Painting, music, acting, it’s all the same. Art is art.” Shawn Lovato plays the upright bass. Lovato is a jazz composer and musician. Graduate of NYU music school. Shawn is both a player and educator of the jazz idiom. Joe and Shawn have played together for many years.


ABOUT b.j. spoke gallery

b.j. spoke is a member owned and run art gallery and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Through monthly exhibitions, artist groups, international competitions, cultural and charity events, we’ve been bringing art to the community and community to artists since 1975.  b.j. spoke offers a new exhibition monthly, solo exhibits of members’ work, two yearly juried art competitions, artist talks, the Artist’s Circle (open to all artists, gallery membership not required), workshops, live theater, and fundraising events.



The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless assists homeless families and individuals access safe, affordable, permanent housing; works with folks living on the street, emergency shelters, and those who are at risk of homelessness, helping them obtain necessary resources; operates “The Boutique” - a free distribution center where clients can “shop” for the things they need: shoes, clothing for all ages, sizes, seasons and reasons, housewares, bedding and linens, small appliances and small furniture, baby items, food, personal care and cleaning supplies – with dignity and pride, in a supportive environment. The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless also runs a chemical-free community garden for veterans and their families. LICH holds an annual Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless; “Back Pack Pirates”, a one-day summer camp for kids in shelters; “Keys for the Homeless” annual conference, and multiple volunteer and community drive opportunities throughout the year.
