Calendar of Events 

Entry Deadlines 

All entries much be received by midnight Monday, April 27, 2026 

A firm may submit a max of one project per category, entry fee required per submission. Submission packets may be sent at a later date up until the entry deadline of April 27th, 2026. 

Submission packets to be delivered to iidasacc.spotlight@gmail.com with project POC. Projects must be completed after January 2017 and before April 1, 2026. 

Submission packets due by April 27, 2026 by 11:59 p.m. 

Judging to be completed by May 8, 2026 and announced at IIDA Imagine That Gala on May 16, 2026. 

Cost 

$250 per early bird entry submitted by March 31, 2026 (Includes 1 ticket to Imagine That Gala) 

$300 per entry submitted until April 27, 2026 (Includes 1 ticket to Imagine That Gala) 

$150 per additional entry (Does not include a ticket to Imagine That Gala) 

Professional Entries 

Elibigility 

Projects must be located within the state of Texas and the architecture office must be within the geographic boundary of San Antonio. 

Page size to be 11x17 and unbranded (remove all firm logos/name), project name only. 

Submissions: may include a PDF of up to five pages of images with multiple images on a page; floor, site plans, elevations, and other pertinent drawings (sketches, partial diagrams, sections, detail drawings) are in addition to the five pages of images. 

Project description - please provide the basic details: project size, client, cost, scope of the program, location, any site considerations, GC, and a description of the design solution. 

Categories 

There will be one 1st Place winner per category. We will have a Best in City Center Each project can be entered in only one of the following categories: 

● Workplace - This category includes commercial buildings for business and corporations. 

● Education - This category includes the following areas of practice for both K-12 and Higher Education/Research: 

➢ K-12 - elementary, middle schools, early childhood centers, daycare centers, school libraries, performing art centers, gymnasiums, STEAM labs, and other accessory spaces such as athletic stadiums, field houses, weight rooms, and locker rooms. 

➢ Higher Education/Research - colleges & universities, college museums, college libraries, campus centers, and student housing. 

● Healthcare - This category includes the following areas of practice for both Acute and Ambulatory Healthcare: 

➢ Acute Healthcare - hospitals, inpatient medical facilities, behavioral health, extended care (aging, assisted/independent living, palliative care) and pediatric facilities. 

➢ Ambulatory Healthcare - Outpatient, medical facilities, and medical laboratories, outpatient cancer centers, rehab facilities, mental health, surgery centers, women's centers, etc. 

● Hospitality & Retail - This category includes the following areas of practice: hotels, resorts & retreats, restaurants & bars, country clubs & athletic clubs. 

● Community & Culture - This category includes the following areas of practice: family service centers, recreational facilities, animal facilities, public libraries, museums, transportation, religious institutions, conventions & conference centers, civic centers, professional arenas & stadiums. 

**This year, we’re introducing a new Multiple Entry option. This allows you to submit additional projects—one per category—at a reduced cost. Please note that this option does not include a ticket to the Imagine That Gala. 

**To be eligible for the Multiple Entry level, you must first have at least one project entered at the Early Bird or Standard Registration level.
