Speakeasy Soiree

Welcome to the wonderful world of Cause-play, where charity and costumes come together.

We are The Justice League of WNY, a local federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization, and we proudly present: our third annual Gala, the Speakeasy Soiree!

Join us for the bees knees of galas at the roaring 20s themed fundraising event of the year!

We are an all-volunteer charity group, that covers all our own costs associated with making appearances. Our members have attended over 300 events and are passionate about what we do! We deliver Kids Care Packs that include items like coloring books, crayons, Justice League swag, and cool trading cards to kids in the hospital. Additionally, we donate funds and other items to local charities year-round. We focus our work with smaller groups that need our help the most, to bring light to their various organizations and efforts to raise money for their causes.

Our goal with this event is to raise $10,000 to help our mission of bringing smiles to those who need it most. This will help fund our current projects, but also allow us to expand to new projects that will reach further, farther, faster than we could ever go on our own. With your help, we can make the world a little brighter.

This Years Theme: Speakeasy Soiree

When going over the ideas we had back in 2021, post-Covid, and seeing the needs our community had for hope and smiles, we knew we had to do something big to help us raise money to do everything. So, we decided to host a fancy shindig to spread the word about what we do and how we want to help. Our first gala raised over $11,000 and with that money, we funded our first annual Dare to Dream Dance and Free Comic Book Day Festival, now both in their 3rd year! We were also able to give monetary donations to many of the smaller organizations we support throughout the year.

Each year, we hope to inspire folks to help us help the children of our communities. We made over 90 appearances in both 2023 and 2024 and will most likely see just as many in the year to come. We have made amazing partnerships with organizations that have the same vision we do: make an impact wherever it is needed. Whether it is inspiring kids to do cosplay, empowering them to go for their dreams, or encouraging them to take chances and be heroes of their own story, we have our mission and want others to join us on that path.

With the funds raised during our gala, we put every penny back into the community. None of the funds raised go to our members, and we make sure the money gets put to the best use possible to bring about the hope and smiles we are known for.

Enjoy a fun filled night as we look back at the past year, and ahead to what we have planned. All attendees will receive their choice of a multi course sit down dinner and open bar.  Doors open for cocktails at 530pm, with our program and dinner starting at 630pm. Music by our year-round partner, DJ Ryan Howze, with a basket raffle, wine pull, 50/50 draw and more. This is an adults only event, so no children please. Formal attire is preferred, and no tickets will be sold at the door.
