About this event
If you think Wisconsin winters are cold, come and experience something that will make those sub-zero days feel warm: Liquid nitrogen! Will we break things? Yes! Will there be a rocket? Yes! Will there be explosions? Yes! (OK, very small ones). Come ready to be entertained while you learn about air pressure, vacuums, and phases of matter. This program is open to all ages!
This program will be given by Jim Hahn. Jim is a lifelong amateur astronomer and science enthusiast. He got his first telescope and learned the constellations at the age of 8, built his own telescope at 15, and has been an informal astronomy educator for several years, giving presentations at local nature centers and schools. Jim is an active member of the Northern Cross Science Foundation, a local astronomy club focused on public outreach, and stays current by reading books and periodicals on the subject, both in print and online
