About this event

Join us for an afternoon with Playing for Change, featuring a collection of videos from their annual Peace Through Music global event. This program was created in partnership with the United Nations to share music’s power to break down barriers, connect people, and create positive change in the world.

Experience a series of music-inspired short stories interwoven with performances from a worldwide collective of musicians and media makers dedicated to connecting the world through the universal language of music. Traveling across continents to film musicians and create collaborative songs around the world, Playing For Change builds a global musical community rooted in joy, storytelling, peace, and shared humanity. This special screening features performances by an extraordinary lineup, including Ben Harper, Black Pumas, Jack Johnson, Rhiannon Giddens, Taj Mahal, The Lumineers, Yusuf / Cat Stevens, and more.

Ahead of the film, enjoy a live performance by the Napa High School Vocal Workshop, an audition-only pop a cappella group directed by Dave Ruane. This special event is part of the Cameo Cinema and Festival Napa Valley's Music Makes the Movie Series. Doors open at 1:30 pm. Tickets $20. Festival Napa Valley members receive complimentary popcorn.

Festival Napa Valley is a nonprofit arts organization presenting world-class music and performance in California’s Wine Country. Through festivals, education programs, and scholarships, it makes the arts accessible while enriching the community with its signature summer festival held each July at iconic vineyard venues.
