This event is a part of Nature's Treasures Week: featuring the natural treasures of Ozaukee, Washington, and Milwaukee counties.
Hike through 510 acres of restored land at Mequon Nature Preserve! Explore the wetlands, prairies, and forests and look for various flora and fauna species that call MNP home. You will get the chance to learn about the restoration efforts MNP has accomplisehd over the past 25 years. This hike will be led by Ecological Restoration Manager, Nick Gall. The hike will be up to 2 miles long in various terrain. Please dress in closed toed shoes, appropriate hiking clothing, and bring water and binoculars. The trails vary from grass, mud, gravel and mulch with some slight uphills. MNP does have some adaptive equipment (off road wheelchairs) that can be used for this hike. Please reach out to staff ahead of the event to reserve.
