This event is a part of Nature's Treasures Week: featuring the natural treasures of Ozaukee, Washington, and Milwaukee counties.
Help MNP staff catch, tag, and release Monarch Butterfiles as they begin their long migration to Mexico! At this event you will learn aboout the Monarch butterfly, and how to properly catch, tag, and release them. The data collected will be uploaded to Monarch Watch. This event will involve hiking around 1.5 miles and running through a tall grass priaire. The MNP staff highly recommend wearing closed toed shoes, long pants, and bringing bug spray. This event is open to ages 5 and older. Meet by the garges next to the MNP Education Center. Nets will be provided. The event will be cancelled if it rains.
