Welcome to our third annual Nora's Shining Light Fundraiser!
My name is Ashley and I am Nora's mom. On June 3rd 2023, my husband Blake and I welcomed our first daughter Nora Blake Naglak into the world at just 27 weeks. Nora was a spicy little girl who put up quite the fight to live. She spent seven days in the NICU before passing due to necrotizing enterocolitis, commonly known as NEC. NEC is a leading cause of infant death, impacting thousands of babies every year.
Before Nora, we had no idea how common pregnancy and infant loss really is. There is a huge stigma around it that pressures society into not talking about our babies. But we need to talk about them, we need to honor them. They were here, they are real and they matter.
This fundraiser is to honor Nora’s third birthday and celebrate all babies gone too soon. The proceeds will be donated to the NEC society, the Adalyn Rose Foundation and the Life After Loss retreat hosted by Noelle’s Light.
The NEC Society is a patient-led organization that collaborates with expert clinicians and researchers to better understand, prevent, and treat this devastating neonatal intestinal disease.
The Adalyn Rose foundation is a nonprofit that helps families navigate life during and after pregnancy and infant loss.
The Light After Loss Retreat is a weekend away for loss moms to connect and share their experiences. Your donations will help sponsor a loss mom to be able to attend this retreat.
So please come join us for brunch and honor the life of our Nora along with all the other angel babies out there. Help us honor the loss family community and break the stigma around pregnancy and infant loss.
Each adult ticket includes one free house cocktail/beer and 5 raffle tickets. We will have amazing raffle baskets, vendors, drinks, brunch options, live music and more!
A big thank you to Baileys Bar and Grille for hosting this year. Be sure to drink up and order some brunch as a % of all food and drink bought will be donated back to our cause.
