A Party for Alan — Open to the public.
All our patrons and Alan’s many friends are cordially invited to attend on Sunday, May 17th when we will celebrate Alan and his legacy with music, stories, and good cheer. Please come, bring your friends, and together we will remember this extraordinarily gifted and generous man. Here's the program so far:
- The festivities will start at noon and will end around 4:00.
- Slideshow of Alan’s life.
- An hour-long concert performed by musical colleagues who played with Alan and knew him well.
- Stories from the stage about Alan’s lifetime in music, from his many successes to his many shenanigans. (I’ve asked musicians to speak, but anyone who has a story they’d like to share is welcome to do so.)
- An ending musical tribute that requires audience participation. More will be revealed in the fullness of time.
More information:
- The milking shed will be filled with memorabilia from Alan’s life.
- The party will be catered by Araya’s Place, a vegetarian Thai restaurant in Seattle.
- In addition to Araya’s delectable food, the bar will be stocked with Joe Euro’s wines and many non-alcoholic beverages.
- Feel free to bring a potluck dish, but it is not required.
- No one will go away hungry!
Since this is a public event, we encourage you to:
- Come early to find a place in the barn before the opening remarks. The farm opens at 11:30 a.m.
- We will have parking attendants at the farm entrance to make sure everyone has a safe and dry place to park.
- We hope many of you can carpool.
