About this event

Redwood Poetry Festival at The Historic Eagle House

This September, ReWorded (an Ink People Dreammaker Project) presents the third annual Redwood Poetry Festival! This year's extra special main event will be held Saturday September 14th with doors opening at 6:30 pm at The Historic Eagle House in the ballroom, on perhaps the most beautiful stage in Humboldt. With the glorious stained glass glimering above, walls wrapped in Redwood, and gorgeous historic design, this is a poetic setting to begin with and when you add the talents of these wordsmiths, it promises to be an unforgetable event. There is a $10 cover for this event, with tickets available online in advance and at the doors the night of the event.

The evening will begin with the beautiful musical stylings of our resident "singing poet," Zera Starchild, a talented singer-songwriter who sings as beautifully as she writes. Poets invited to perform include Albuquerque, NM Poet Lareate - Anna Martinez, Elizabeth Hassler, Lorenzo Almond, Susanna Gibson, Riley White, Eureka, CA Poet Laureate - Wil Gibson, Moth Taylor, Jennifer Dabbs, first ever Eureka, CA Youth Poet Laureate - Harvey Gray, and more!

Don't miss this beautiful night of beautiful words in a beautiful setting! Come see what this stage was meant for, an intimate show with a connection from person to person, as it was done in the heyday of this legendary space.
