Kalapriya invites you to an intimate luncheon and conversation with Dr. Patrick Olivelle, acclaimed scholar and author of Ashoka: Portrait of a Philosopher King, on October 18!
Over a specially prepared Sri Lankan meal, guests will have the rare opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Olivelle & other scholars in a smaller setting, ask questions, and consider why the philosophy of a ruler from more than 2,000 years ago continues to raise important questions about ethics, power, and how we live together today.
The purchase of this luncheon ticket also includes admission to our evening program taking place at the Obama Presidential Center at 5:00 pm.
Each party will recieve a signed copy of Ashoka: Portrait of a Philosopher King.
