In Numbers 11:29, Moses expressed God’s desire when he responded to Joshua, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”
On the day of Pentecost, Peter echoed the book of Joel, declaring, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
Ephesians 4:11-12 highlights the ascension gifts, stating, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
