About this event

Join the Palestinian Youth Movement on Friday, February 14th, for a screening of Arab Loutfi’s film ‘Tell Your Tale, Little Bird, the second in our February Film Series. In this film series, we will gather for a different screening every week in the month of February to watch and engage with films that speak to our struggle for liberation, and the current moment.

This 2007 film presents a collection of interviews filmed in 1993 with seven prominent Palestinian freedom fighters: Leila Khaled, Therese Halasa, Aisha Odeh, Rashida Obeida, Rasmea Odeh, Widad Qamari, and Amina Dahbour. Their accounts highlight and affirm their commitment to the national liberation struggle and resilience through their arrests and imprisonment throughout the 60s and 70s.

In the words of the director, Arab Loutfi, “The film confirms the presence of the memory of the resistance and its penetration into the depth of the female self, its spread through oral literature, and its continuation as a political act.”. Their stories are a testament to the value of memory, storytelling and narrative-building in our struggle.

Join us for this screening of “Tell Your Tale, Little Bird”, which will be followed by group discussions.
