Smoky Mountain Creation Retreat

The Smoky Mountain Creation Retreat is in our 11th year, and we are excited to share this special weekend with creationists like YOU! Our creation retreats allow students, scholars, and creationists from all walks of life to wrestle with the most challenging questions in a safe and supportive space.

In the spring of 2026, we’ll take a grand tour of the origin of the universe with Cedarville University professor Steve Gollmer! Before debates on the origin or evolution of life, let alone of human beings, we ought to think seriously about where all this stuff came from in the first place. Questions about how starlight from such distant objects can be seen here on earth continue to be the focus of much research and discussion in creationism, and Dr. Gollmer will guide us through creationist thinking on this subject.

This event is held in the quiet seclusion of the Smokies, allowing for an intimate experience for creationists to ask hard questions and have discussions with accomplished creationist scholars and scientists. Our new location adjoins the Smoky Mountain National Park, and we’ll have an opportunity to hike right into the park after lunch on Saturday. It’s a glorious way to experience God’s majestic creation. The mountains are calling!

Weekend Schedule

• Friday night: Arrival, dinner, Welcome Session.
• Saturday: breakfast, Morning Session, Lunch, free time and guided hiking excursion, Dinner, Last Session.
• Sunday: breakfast, cleanup, departure.

Each Session will consist of a combination of presentation and discussion. All of our retreats are informal. Questions can be asked at any time, and discussion is encouraged. Professors, please bring your students. This is the place to ask the most challenging questions.

Professors, if you bring three students, we will happily offer the student rate! We want to fill our cabin this year, and Professors are vital in helping us reach this goal.

Private Rooms will be available for couples or anyone wanting privacy.
