Student Affiliate Dinner Information

  • Date: April 9, 2026

  • Time: 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  • Cost: $20 per tickets 

  • Ticket Purchase Instructions: Multiple tickets can be purchased through one transaction. Purchasers can share tickets with other attendees through the Ticket Wallet link sent to them via email. Placeholder information can be entered temporarily if attendee information is not known at time of purchase. Please ensure that attendees update their information when they receive their ticket so that accomodations can be addressed.

  • Parking: Parking is no cost and accessible. Guests can park in Lot A and enter through the Accessible Entrance. Signs will direct you to the event location. See campus map. 

  • Attire: Business Casual

Join Carlow University and Westmoreland County Community College for the 2026 Early Childhood Educator Student Affiliate Dinner! This year's theme is Every Person, Every Path, One Passion, which celebrates the work we do as educators to build inclusive education spaces for all of our learners. We will begin the evening with the student poster session and then move into our keynote speaker, Karen Nemeth. Karen's expertise is in supporting educators to provide high quality experiences for multi-language learners; she will share her wisdom on creating classrooms where all children can succeed. Rather than the traditional activity session to begin the night, we invite students from all institutions to create research posters on any Early Learning topic to showcase their knowledge. For more information and to see example projects, see individual links below or view all documents

MADE @ Westmoreland Tour

A tour of Westmoreland's state of the art makerspace, MADE @ Westmoreland is available from 5-5:30 for those who are interested. Whether you're a hobbyist, entrepreneur, student, or lifelong learner, you’ll find the tools, technology, and support to bring your projects to reality. MADE offers workshops designed for all skill levels and provides access to industry-grade equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines and more. The makerspace is open to individuals and organizations, with membership options available. Come explore your passion, learn something new, and connect with a community of makers! For those attending the MADE @ Westmoreland Makerspace, the site is in the Business and Industry Center as shown on the parking map. Signs will point you to the space when you enter the building.  You are free to park in Lot G if attending this portion of the event.

Sweater Collection

In a nod to our theme of universality and Mr. Rogers' ideal that caring for our neighbors is a sacred act, we will be collecting sweaters for adults and children to be donated to the Neighborhood Resilience Project. Please bring gently used sweaters for donation.
