In October 2003, filmmaker Rebecca Glotfelty and five other Americans embarked on a four- week journey into the Israeli Occupied West Bank and into one of the most pressing conflicts of our time. The group, 'Traverse for Peace,' went to the West Bank with the intent to document the stories of ordinary Palestinians, internationals, and Israeli peace workers. This is their story.

About the Filmmaker

Rebecca Glotfelty, filmmaker and RPM Executive Director will facilitate a Q&A following the showing. Glotfelty obtained her B.A. in Social Science-International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She furthered her education with Arabic language classes through the University of Virginia summer Arabic Program at Yarmouk University in Irbid Jordan and through the British Consulate in Cairo Egypt. Masters level courses in sociology through the American University in Cairo further enhanced her education in refugee studies.

The film provides a context to the war today taking place within the occupied territories. The film has our PG rating but does depict intense situations. The film has been shown to high school students and used in college courses throughout the United States and abroad.
