Conkquinox 2023

A Summer Solstice ago, in 2022, Bakithi Kumalo graced the Thatch Meadow Farm Summer Stage and brought his wonderful energy to the one party that everyone knows about to celebrate the beginning of summer. This year, we're thrilled to announce a new annual festivity to commemorate Autumn. It's called Conkquinox. This year it is happening Sunday, October 1 from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Bakithi Kumalo is the bassist on Paul Simon's Graceland album that was release in 1985. Since then, he has played with so many other artists and has been recognized as one of the world's top 50 bassists by Bass Player Magazine. He continues to work with kids and is part of the East End Arts. As such, some of his students will perform first and will probably hit the stage near 2:30. After that, the one and only, Conky and no Company will perform and then Conky and Company will take the stage. Finally, Bakithi Kumalo's Graceland Experience will close the afternoon with his 10-piece band! 

Once again, this event will be the first of many and is a production of Thatch Meadow Flowers, an organization formed specifically to host and produce events on the farm with the express intent on saving, maintaining and beautifying the farm.
