2026 New Shared Mobility Summit

Change Happens Together

Welcome! You've been nominated by a local champion to join us at the 2026 New Shared Mobility Summit. We're thrilled you're interested in being part of this movement.

About the New Shared Mobility Summit

Too many people lack safe, reliable, affordable transportation. Changing that requires people who trust each other, share a unified vision, and act together. The 2026 New Shared Mobility Summit (hosted by the Shared-Use Mobility Center September 9-11 in Chicago, IL) brings together Change Leaders in regional Change Teams: cross-sector coalitions of 8-12 leaders from cities, transit agencies, community organizations, and philanthropy. Through virtual workshops, collaborative in-person sessions, and post-event follow-up, teams build deep relationships and commit to people-centered mobility. Building on the 2025 inaugural cohort, SUMC continues investing in people who change systems. Learn more at the New Shared Mobility Summit webpage.

What Makes the New Summit Different

  • Questions and conversations centered on insights from participants, not lectures from the stage

  • Shared agreements and intentional reflection to foster trust as a foundation for action

  • Local champions identify diverse leaders regardless of titles; fees are waived and travel stipends are offered to ensure equitable representation

About the Shared-Use Mobility Center

The Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing equitable, affordable transportation by replacing car-centric systems with people-focused shared mobility. We work with cities, communities, and organizations to develop resources, forge partnerships, and pilot innovative solutions that reduce reliance on private automobiles while expanding access to transit, micromobility, ridesharing, and active transportation. By connecting public and private sectors and providing technical expertise, SUMC seeks to create a world where universal mobility enables everyone to live well without owning a car while addressing climate change, equity, and economic opportunity.
