The Bad Apple

There will be cocktails. There will be secrets. There will be scandal.

And there will be murder.

This is an interactive murder mystery inspired by the classic game Clue. You won’t be sitting back and watching a show. You’ll be part of the story and the investigation.

When you purchase your ticket, choose the character you’d like to play. Characters can be played by guests of any gender. You’ll receive the information you need to play your role, including your character’s relationships, secrets, possible motives, and timeline.

Multiple guests will play each character, and some may know things you don’t.

As the mystery unfolds, you’ll need to talk to the other guests, ask questions, follow leads, examine your surroundings, find clues, and compare stories to figure out who killed Ash and why.

Everyone at the Ashcroft Estate has a secret.

And one of them is a murderer.

HOW IT WORKS

Choose your character.
Your ticket is your invitation to the Ashcroft engagement party. You’ll choose which of the six characters you’ll attend as. Each character has their own connection to the Ashcroft family, their own secrets, and their own reasons for being at the party.

Dress for the occasion.
We encourage you to have fun with your outfit! Think elegant country estate, old money, family drama, glamour, and scandal. But don’t stress if costumes aren’t your thing. We’ll provide character name tags so everyone knows who they’re talking to.

Become part of the investigation.
You’ll be interacting with other guests, gathering information, investigating clues, and paying attention to what is happening around you.

Solve the murder.
As the evening unfolds, piece together the evidence and decide who had the motive, means, and opportunity to kill Ash.

At the end of the evening, you’ll submit your final guess for the murderer, weapon, room, and motive.

YOU GET TO CHOOSE THE CAUSE

There’s one more twist.

When you submit your final guess, you’ll also choose a local animal shelter or rescue to benefit from the proceeds of the event.

If you correctly solve the murder, a portion of the proceeds will go to the shelter or rescue you selected.

So come ready to play, investigate, and maybe accuse a few people along the way.
