Join the Lancaster Medical Heritage Museum and Millersville University Professor, Dr. Shawn Gallagher, PhD, for "Transformative approaches: Revolutionizing Mental Health Treatment in American Institutions".

Dr. Gallagher will be discussing the advancements and setbacks presented to the mental health field during its early days. From Lobotomies to Thorazine, he will discuss how far this field has come by highlighting where it has been.

Dr. Shawn Gallagher, PhD currently teaches the History of Science and Psychology at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and his published work includes a biographical piece on Psychology’s most famous historian, Edwin G. Boring, written for the American Journal of Psychology.
