About this event

After a three-year hiatus, conductor Trevor Kroeger and soprano Alexandra Schoeny are thrilled to announce the return of their beloved Christmas concert, featuring The Union professional choral ensemble and chamber orchestra.

About the Concert

Presented at St. Rose Church from 2015 through 2023, The Union Christmas concerts experienced tremendous success, growing into a three-concert series that attracted over 1,100 attendees and featured 55 of Cincinnati’s finest professional musicians. In 2019, Movers & Makers Magazine recognized the concert as one of the Best Large Vocal Ensemble Concerts in Cincinnati.

The St. Xavier Church Sacred Arts Fund is proud to present this year’s concerts on Thursday, December 10, at 7:30 PM; Friday, December 11, at 7:30 PM; and Sunday, December 13, at 2:00 PM. The Thursday and Friday evening concerts will feature immersive lighting by internationally acclaimed lighting designer Thomas Hase. The Union will perform a spectacular program of treasured carols, audience favorites, and festive masterworks for vocal soloists, choir, and orchestra.

Tickets & Admission

Reserved seating tickets for St. Xavier Church Sacred Arts Fund donors and early bird general admission tickets ($35/ticket) are available now. Pay-what-you-wish general admission tickets will be available starting Sunday, November 1.

ADA Accessible

St. Xavier Church is wheelchair accessible and has accessible restrooms. If you need ADA companion seating, please email Trevor Kroeger at tkroeger@stxchurch.org. We will ensure companions have reserved seating near our dedicated area for those using wheelchairs.

Family Friendly

This is a family-friendly event, and we warmly welcome listeners of all ages. If your child will be seated on your lap, they do not need a ticket. In all other cases, tickets are required for children.

St. Xavier Church Sacred Arts Fund

The St. Xavier Church Sacred Arts Fund was established in 2026 to cultivate, sustain, and expand musical and visual arts programming at St. Xavier Church. Guided by a steering committee of St. Xavier clergy, parishioners, staff, artists, and partners, the Sacred Arts Fund creates spaces where people encounter the sacred and connect more deeply with God and with one another.

The Union Ensemble

The Union and its parent organization Breath Collective, a nonprofit performing arts production company based in Cincinnati, were founded in 2019 by its co-presidents and creative producers, soprano Alexandra Schoeny and conductor Trevor Kroeger. The Union is a proud partner of the St. Xavier Church Sacred Arts Fund.
