About this event
Weaving Living Traditions brings together curator Venancio Aragón and exhibiting artists Melissa Cody, Tyrrell Tapaha, Marlowe Katoney, and Calandra Cook for a conversation exploring contemporary Diné weaving as a living tradition shaped by cultural continuity, innovation, and artistic practice. Hear directly from some of today's leading Diné artists as they reflect on the evolving role of weaving, the transmission of cultural knowledge across generations, and the ways contemporary practice both honors and expands ancestral traditions.
Doors 12PM talk begins at 12:30 sharp.
Ticketed event. Limited seating available. The conversation will also be livestreamed via Zoom.
