Jubilee by Derek Jarman

South Philly Autonomous Cinema and Butcher's Sew Shop continue our fashion + film series with Derek Jarman's time-traveling punk fantasy Jubilee (1978). When Queen Elizabeth I travels 400 years into the future to see her beloved England, she’s finds herself in a post-apocalyptic wasteland populated by roving girl gangs, fascist police, and the Monarch of Punk. With costumes by Christopher Hobbs, a frequent Jarman collaborator, Jubilee takes punk fashion and philosophy to its revolutionary extreme.
