After his freelance photographer wife Ellen disappears at sea, lawyer Nick Arden waits seven long years before legally declaring her dead in court and then marries his lovely new flame Bianca Bates. As good old “screwball comedy” luck would have it, Ellen miraculously reappears in Nick's life during his honeymoon with Bianca and informs him that she'd been shipwrecked all that time on a desert island. Nick is overjoyed to see her, but is beside himself trying to determine the best way to “break the news” to new bride Bianca. Nick’s trepidation quickly turns to jealousy though when he learns that Ellen had a sole island companion for those seven years -- the handsome, athletic Stephen Burkett who also finds himself back in the thick of things. Before we know it, everyone ends up back in the courtroom!
