About this event

Join South Philly Autonomous Cinema and Philly Socialists for another night of Palestinian film, fundraising, and solidarity at Making Worlds Bookstore! We will be screening Michel Khleifi's groundbreaking Fertile Memory (1981), the first full length film to be shot within the disputed Palestinian West Bank “Green Line.” The movie follows two Palestinian women whose individual struggles both represent and transcend the politics of occupation.

All proceeds from this screening will be split between The Sameer Project, which supplies emergency shelter and aid, and Gaza Champions, which provides direct funds to Palestinians seeking to rebuild their lives in Gaza.

This event is all ages. Masks are requested to be worn except when eating or drinking and will be supplied at the door.
