Overview
1-day program teaching healthcare providers on how to assess, recognize, and stabilize pediatric emergencies at our PEARS Provider event - it's all about saving little lives! Credited with 8 CME Hours
PEARS Provider - Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, StabilizationThis in-person event will cover crucial skills like assessment, recognition, and stabilization in pediatric emergencies.
Topics include:
- Early respiratory recognition.
- Identifying pediatric shock.
- Structured pediatric assessment.
- Cardiac emergency recognition.
- High quality pediatric CPR.
- Pediatric stabilization skills.
- Effective team communication.
Prerequisites
Course available only for CPER catchment area active paramedics.

To enroll into this course, you MUST have an ACTIVE CURRENT HEART AND STROKE BLS CERTIFICATE
- Current Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certificate; and
- ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment Certificate (passing score = 70%) - Available once successfully enrolled in course

Duration
- 1 day of in-classroom learning; 8hrs.
Completion
Upon successful completion of the course, PEARS Provider Certificate is provided
- Valid for 2 years
Cancellation Policy.
Once payment is submitted, no refunds will be issued. Up to fourteen days prior to the course start date, you may transfer your registration to another available course date, or transfer your spot to another individual. Any individual assuming a transferred registration must meet all prerequisites and qualifications required for successful registration. Requests made within fourteen days of the course start date will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Approval is not guaranteed and remains at the discretion of the course organizer. If minimum enrollment numbers are not met one week prior to the course start date, the course will be cancelled. Every effort will be made by CPER to avoid course cancellations.
